"Book" Around the immigration of the Gates of Europe
Works 2005 - 2011
Published May 2021 "La Legatoria" of Rome series numbered to 100
A book featuring the visual investigation of photographers Laura Cantarella, Antonio La Grotta and Simone Perolari throughout the Italian Alps, in the region of the upper Susa Valley. The survey, promoted by CIPRA – the International Commission for the Protection of the Alps– and Compagnia di San Paolo, discovers the geographical, architectural and social clashes between the artificial and the natural space of this area, while attempting to describe their controversial relationship: a particularly emblematic topic for the contemporary time.
The book has four cover variations, one for each spoken language of the Alps.
